A Georgia based photographer, I am a creator at heart and quickly become entranced with most any creative endeavor. Motorsports is where photography for me 4 plus decades ago and still an undeniable passion for me. Also, having the influence growing up with a dark room in the house; it's only natural photography became my vehicle for creativity and indeed my first love.
It's safe to label myself a multi-disciplinary photographer as limiting myself to a specific niche has never been a desired option, despite the common knowledge doing such is a key to success as a pro. The premise of taking a uniquely striking image is beyond captivating to me, no matter the subject.
Canon has been my gear of choice for 40 plus years and I recently decided to add some of the pro level Sony gear to that arsenal. The first third of my photographic adventure was all film and I feel very fortunate to have experienced that era as it contributed greatly to my understanding of light.
As soon as digital DSLRs started becoming somewhat affordable, I started to transition and committed to improving enough to pursue some professional aspirations. That said, the overwhelming majority of my work is still completed in camera. Post processing effects produced by software like Photoshop are used minimally and only for correction or slight enhancement. (I.E. color correction, light adjustments, cropping, covering blemishes, ETC.)
I am also a Part 107 licensed Drone pilot and have been for almost 10 years. Aerial photography, while a recent technology for the masses, has played a significant role in my other career for a long, long time. Therefore, it was an easy train to hop onto. This technology has infinite uses and I have experience with quite a few, even prior to drone technology. My current drone list includes DJI Phantoms and a Parrott ANAFI
