'THE FAIR!' - If I could make a living shooting fairs, I would. The lighting scenarios are endless. The action.. The variety of people. The creative possibilities. THE FUN!
'WISDOM' - I encountered this gent on a sunset cruise. He looked the part of a sailor anyway. As he looked out over the ocean toward sunset, I could only imagine the things he's seen and experienced, sailor or not.
'SMILES' - I was hired to do a large family portrait. This little fella was having so much fun just running around as we waited for everyone to show up. I couldn't help but try capturing his joy.
'LIFE ON THE ROAD' - I wasn't even walking behind the pilot. I was walking on a perpendicular hallway and saw him cross our path. It was a scramble to get my camera out but it worked out. I loved how the lines and lights take your eye into the image and to the pilot.
'FELIX' - I participated in the 24 Hour project a couple times. Once a RAD concept gone rogue, but a blast to do and this is one of those images. A local entrepreneur and favorite to many in Athens. Often, when work is slow, he could be found lurking in the shadow of his bodega canopy just observing life.
'WOMAN POWER' - I was actually an assistant working for a friend who needed help but he was a gracioius enough to let me shoot on my own some too. Well, I saw the broken light adjacent to the light pole and told her to go swing around it like she was singing. 90 seconds later, superb result!
'SMOKE BREAK' - My buddy and I were hustling to the car to get back to Athens and hit the bar before close. Anyway, we were leaving another buddy's wedding, which I shot so I had my gear. Well, we briskly crossed the sidewalk with this scene. I made us go back, told him smoke and lean here... 3 minutes, MAYBE of shooting and another of my all time favorite shots which hangs in our bar in Athens and in his home.
